Clove serving tray, \'Aromatic Heart\'

This clove serving tray in a heart design expresses a feeling of tenderness, touching the atmosphere of any room. It was made of aromatic cloves by the weavers of Pejeng. Using only cloves and miniscule bamboo threads, the weavers from the \"Spice Island\" of Ambon, approximately 1500 miles east of Bali, work together making these intricate and delicate pieces. In Bali, clove baskets are used for bestowing gifts on community elders and for storing medical herbs.
